AHS Alumni Day planned for Feb. 24

The 1st annual Ashdown High School Alumni Day will be held at the baseball field at Ashdown City Park.

The day will begin with a fish fry at noon. The meal will include fish, hushpuppies, coleslaw and French fries. The cost is $15 which includes admission to the Alumni Game.

From noon to 1 p.m. kids will be allowed to play on the field. At 1 p.m. with be batting practice followed by the Home Run Derby at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m. will be the Alumni Game between the odd vs. even year graduates. The game is scheduled for seven innings. Admission to the game is $3 for those who do not partake of the fish fry.

Alumni players that plan on attending need to e-mail AHS coach Chuck Cross their name, year of graduation and T-shirt size to ccross@ashdownschools.org.

Tickets for this event can be purchase from current players.

In case of bad weather, the Alumni Game will be postponed until Saturday, March 17, but the fish fry will remain on February 24.

The public is invited to attend.
