Morgan Kanakis of Jacksonville, Ark., great-granddaughter of Mildred Kanakis, was a recent visitor.

Mr. Mrs. Michael Foy of Bedford, Texas, were lunch guests of Mildred Kanakis. They have been friends for many years.

Welcome home to Bill Booth. He has made his home in Northern Arkansas for several years.

Paul and Lucy Scarborough have had as guests, their brother-in-law Clyde Tilley of Bourbonnais, Ill., and daughter Columbia Tilley of Kankakee, Ill. They also visited Robbie Jones, Vivian V. Keeney and Mildred Kanakis.

The early part of December, a baby shower was given in honor of sisters, Kaylin Jones and son, Tucker, who is due any day and also, Emaleigh Jones and daughter, Ella. She is due in March. They received many beautiful and useful gifts. Each Kaylin and Emaleigh wishes to thank everyone.

Mary Frances McGraw was honored with a surprise 90th birthday party. She had many friends and relatives to attend. May she have many more.

Hope everyone had a joyous and safe holiday season. May your coming year 2018 be blessed and safe.

All our sick ones are on the mend. Some still have a way to go. However, the recovery process is going well.

This past weekend Verna Roberson was blessed by meeting her great-great-grandson. Braden Layne Burgett. He was born early December to great-granddaughter Harley and husband, Tyler.

Hub Gregory of Arlington, Texas was weekend visitor of Mildred Kanakis. He attended a domino tournament and finished in 3rd place in Louisiana.

Gary and Nancy Tong of Denton, Texas, Paul and Tara and children of Frisco, Texas were holiday guests of mother and grandmother Dixie Tong.

Michael Roberson of Celina, Texas was a holiday guest of parents, J.B. and Brenda Roberson and grandmother Verna Roberson.

Dixie Tong, Mildred Kanakis and Verna Roberson were Christmas dinner guests of sister Lucy Welch and husband Bob in the Hicks community.

Robin and David Lopez of Forney, Texas made a short visit with their aunt Dixie Tong Saturday night.

Shirley Sikes had guest Linda and Mark Hartley and children were home for the holiday. There were other guests as well.

Linda Booth is much improved from her recent accident. May she improve daily.

The latest report on Webster Bodine, he appears to be doing well.

Stitches stopped by for a short visit to wish his friends a Happy New Year.

As we start a new year, Alleene population has increased. Congratulations to Bill and Tricia Duckett and Alex on the birth of their daughter and sister Olivia.
