ASD receives District of the Year Award

Ashdown School District staff attended the Learning for Life Luncheon in Texarkana on Tuesday, May 1. LFH Counselor Quincey Rayfield received the Golden Apple Award at the Learning for Life Luncheon in Texarkana on Tuesday, May 1.

On Tuesday, May 1, staff members from Ashdown Public Schools were honored in Texarkana at the Learning for Life Luncheon. The Learning for Life program is sponsored by the Boy Scouts Caddo Area Council and directed by Linda Willis.

According to their website, “Learning for Life is a character education program designed to support schools and community-based organizations in their efforts to prepare youth to successfully handle the complexities of our contemporary society.”

LFH Counselor Quincey Rayfield received the Golden Apple Award and the Ashdown School District was named the District of the Year.
