Ashdown students attend Arkansas Drone Conference

The Arkansas Drone Conference was held in Little Rock Tuesday, October 16. Six Ashdown High School students attended – Brooklyn Welker, Kaila Sullivan, Nicholas Stewart, Dimiya Johnson, Mason Curtis, and Lachelsy O’guinn – along with AHS teachers Alicia McCormick and Terry Snead. Drones will have an 80 billion dollar impact on the economy in the next six years and provide approximately 103,000 jobs with a minimum salary of $40,000 annually.

Students were able to attend four different workshops during the day long event.
