Starting in 1977 and working until after it’s closing in 2011. She served on its Board of Directors and was bookkeeper. For a number of years, she on the Ashdown Chamber of Commerce Board working with various civic projects.

see url Dorothy enjoyed traveling to Branson and Northwest Arkansas for craft fairs and fall foliage tours and Las Vegas.  She loved to read, play bridge, have lunches with friends, and an occasional slot machine. Family was her world. She attended Trinity Baptist and Ogden First Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Loyd “Bill” Johnson in January 1985 and her parents Jim Fondren, Mary Fondren Johnson and stepfather, Jack Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, William Loyd “Junior” Johnson and finance, Leslie Westbrook, Debra and Loyd Terry; brothers, Ed and Janet Fondren and Billy Roy and Tina Fondren; two grandchildren Jennifer Neiman and Tyler Cooper, two great grandchildren Emily and Abi Neiman, her Kaufman Seeds family along with a host of family and friends.

A time of remembrance and visitation was held at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown, Ark., on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Graveside services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, under direction of Madden Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Graves officiating.
