The Foreman Gators’ schedule last week looked more like a tournament schedule than a regular season schedule with five games on the slate. Foreman negotiated really well as the Gators went 3-2 during the week to improve to 10-4.

On Monday, January 22, Foreman traveled to Mineral Springs to take on the Hornets. The Gators came away with an 82-66 victory.

Donovan Willis led Foreman with 16 points and Robbie Smith had 14.

On Tuesday, January 23, the Gators traveled to Texarkana to take on Trinity Christian. Foreman won 66-61.

“This comeback win was big for our team and helped us gain confidence in each other,” Gators head coach James Blanton said.

Devon Threadgill led Foreman with 24 points and Kyron Batey had 15.

On Thursday, January 25, the Gators traveled to Mountain Pine to face the Red Devils. Foreman came up short, 65-56.

“This close game saw four Gators in double-digit points,” Blanton said. “Our post play between Brandon Thomas and Lucas Sharp was solid. Together they shot 11-of-12 from the floor.

Isaac Carver led the way with 13 points. Sharp had 12, Threadgill had 11 and Thomas had 10.

The Gators lost their second game of the week on Friday at Dierks, 73-67.

Foreman wrapped up the week on Saturday with a 72-59 win over Trinity Chrisitian.

“There was five guys in double figures this game,” Blanton said. “This was a great team game that gave us confidence moving forward that we can trust each other and share the ball when needed.”
