Gay Gillihan Strickland, 71, of Ashdown, Ark., went to Heaven to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Memphis, Tenn.
She was born January 25, 1948 in Alleene, Ark. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and spoiling her great-grandchildren.
Gay was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Bonnie Morrow of Foreman, Ark.; two brothers, Curtis Gillihan of Wilton, Ark., and Clarence Gillihan of Cleburne, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Gillihan of Wilton, Ark.
She is survived by her two daughters Jami Thompson of Texarkana, Ark., and Gina (and Richard) Butler of Foreman, Ark.; one son: Ray Morrow of Gould, Ark.; her younger brother, Terry Gillihan of Foreman, Ark.; 10 grandchildren: Zane Butler of Ashdown, Ark., Jon Butler of Foreman, Ark., Alyssa Messman of Texas, Cory Thompson of Byers, Colo., Ian Messman of Amarillo, Texas, Toby Thompson of Pauls Valley, Okla., Kaitlin Butler of Fayetteville, Ark., Keely Butler of Ashdown, Ark., RJ Butler of Ashdown, Ark., and Blaine Butler of Foreman, Ark.; four great-grandchildren: Brayden of Texas; Anastasia Messman of Amarillo, Texas; Kynsleigh Butler of Ashdown, Ark., and Perri Prosser of Fayetteville, Ark.; and her nieces and nephews, Bill Gillihan of Pinehurst, Texas, Clarence Gillihan of Whitney, Texas, Terry Gillihan of Lake Worth, Texas, Donna Gillihan-Blackaby of Lockesburg, Ark., Russell Gillihan of Burnet, Texas, Kathy Collvins of Wilton, Ark Paul Gillihan of Alvarado, Texas, and James (Hoss) Gillihan of Alleene, Ark.; and one sister-in-law: Neta Gillihan of Cleburne, Texas.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Alleene Community Center with Bro Roy Conatser officiating.
