Beverly Glanville announced earlier this week her candidacy for Little River County Justice of the Peace for District 9.

A resident of Little River County since 1989, Glanville has been active in many important civic organizations and businesses. She served as chairperson of Little River County’s first Relay for Life, and is a cancer survivor herself. She has also served as previous president of the Little River Chamber of Commerce and manager of Big Jakes BBQ in Ashdown that started as a catering trailer south of town.

“I will strive to lower taxes and fees while ensuring our county maintains a sound financial structure and seek out opportunities for economic growth and prosperity for all of our citizens,” Glanville said. “You deserve to see the benefits of your tax dollars being spent in a conservative way. As an advocate for responsible government, I truly believe that those we elect to serve us are always mindful that our pockets are not bottomless!”

Glanville currently serves on two boards – the Ouachita Mountain Biological Station and The Association for a Greater Yarborough. She is also a volunteer fire fighter and certified as a hospitality instructor.

“Representing you will be an honor,” Glanville said. “I am your voice! Thank you for your vote.”

The Primary will be held May 22 and the General Election will be held November 6, 2018.
