Helen Keith ~ Plantersville, Texas

Helen Keith, 86, of Plantersville, Texas, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in Tomball, Texas.

She was born March 3, 1932, in Foreman, Ark. She worked a number of years for Raython, an electronics company in Chicago and San Diego while continuing her education. Helen attended college while working and ultimately got her degree in Education. She taught both in Chicago and Los Angeles finally retiring from teaching in Los Angeles. After retiring she relocated to Wisconsin but only for a while-her favorite brother, Charlie, lived in Texas and that was her final destination. She has lived on her property for at least 20 years in Plantersville, Texas with her dogs and cats.  She enjoyed watching the wildlife in her front yard especially the birds.

Miss Keith was preceded in death by her mother, Eliza Garrett Keith; father, John A. Keith; and her brothers, Edward, Elmer, Earl and Charlie Keith.

She is survived by a niece, Lisa Whitlock and her husband, Glenn Whitlock, niece, Connie Keith and her partner, Sam; one great-niece, Holly Rohrback (Clay); one great-nephew, Ryan Rice; cousin, Louis “Jack” Mann; second cousin, Karen M. Roberts, and lifelong friend, Nita Ferjo.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, July 30, 2018, in the Campground Cemetery in Winthrop, Ark., under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Ark.
