Joe Bruce Baker, Sr., 78, of Winthrop, Ark., passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Hot Springs, Ark.
He was born August 28, 1940, in Winthrop, Ark. He served in the United States Army, attended Foreman First Baptist Church, and was a truck driver.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Mary Mize Baker; his wife, Gloria Jean Baker; one son, Joe Bruce Baker, Jr.; and one brother, Jimmy Baker.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Tanya Baker of Wright City, Okla., James and Tammy Baker of Winthrop, Ark., and Shane and Angie Baker of Hooks, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Doodle Knighten of Winthrop, Ark.; one sister, Margie Ward of Ogden, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Anita Baker of Foreman, Ark.; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019, in the Foreman First Baptist Church with Trent Liggin officiating. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Ark.
