Mayor request citizens not put leaves in ditches

Culverts get stopped up with leaves that are raked into ditches leading to more drainage issue around Ashdown.

Ashdown Mayor James Sutton asks that citizens refrain from raking their leaves and other yard debris into the ditches. He also asks that citizens not to burn leaves or other yard debris in the ditches. This causes drainage issues and damage to culverts which results in the city spending tax payer dollars to fix the problem and takes away from other projects around the city.
