Six local athletes compete in high school rodeo finals

The Southwest Arkansas High School Rodeo finals were held over Memorial Day weekend at the Four States Fairgrounds in Texarkana, Ark.

Six youth form Little River County were invited to attend the SWAHSRA finals and are among the regions top young rodeo athletes.

To qualify, each athlete must rank among the top 15 in each division they enter. Events include barrel racing, pole bending, bull riding, steer riding, pony bronc, chute dogging, goat tying, goat ribbon pulling, breakaway roping, tie down calf roping and team roping.
