SSF offers hunting opportunities

Do you or someone you know have a severe mobility impairment &/or a life-threatening illness?

Southern Sportsmen Foundation is pleased to announce their 2018 hunt schedule for whitetail deer. This hunt is for individuals that have a severe mobility impairment &/or a life-threatening illness.

The youth “Hunt of a Lifetime” will be held near Mineral Springs, Ark., on Oct. 26-28, 2018, at Starch Creek Hunting Club. This event is for youth hunters up to 18 years old.

Youth hunters must be able to arrive by 3 p.m. on Oct. 26, for a pre-hunt orientation & must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian.

The adult hunt, nicknamed the “Redneck Safari,” will be held near Foreman, Ark., the weekend of Nov. 14-16, 2018.

Adult hunters must be able to arrive by 11 a.m. on November 15, and are welcome to bring a non-hunting companion. Six (6) disabled hunters and two (2) alternates will be drawn for this event. Every year hunter’s have had numerous shot opportunities with most hunters bagging a deer.

For both hunts lodging, meals & license will be provided by the SSF. However, hunters will be responsible for their travel expense. Hunters born after December 31, 1968 & at least 16 years old must possess a valid hunter’s safety card. All hunt applications must be received by September 15, 2018.
