Susan Elaine Schooler Wheeler, 64, of Wilton, Ark., died Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Texarkana, Texas, surrounded by her family.
She was born to J. L. and Donnalita Love Schooler on August 28, 1954 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Education from Texas Tech and later revived her Bachelor of Music. She taught for the Whiteface School District and was a substitute for local school districts after her retirement. She married the love of her life, Randy Mac Wheeler in November of 1996 in Morton, Texas. Susan loved the Lord and was an involved member of the First Baptist Church in Wilton. She served as the church pianist, VBS director and worked diligently with Operation Christmas Child. She was a Master Gardener, loved sharing about her flowers and loved the Gaither Vocal Band. She enjoyed playing and teacher her students the art of piano, knitting, crocheting, and her special cat, Boo Bear, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her granddaughters and her family.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of over 22 years, Randy Wheeler.
She is survived by one daughter, Brandi Patterson and her spouse, Maggie, of Lubbock, Texas; two granddaughters of Lubbock; her twin brother, Timothy Wayne Schooler and his wife, Della, of Lubbock; two sisters, Treva Ellis and husband, Bob, of Amarillo, Texas and Cathy Brookshire and husband, Tony, of Wichita Falls; many nieces, a nephew, as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Wilton with Bro. Chris Clayton officiating. Burial will be private, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Ark.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time, Thursday, at the church.
