Merchant Relays

The Foreman Gators and Lady Gators track teams traveled to Prescott on Thursday, March 29, to compete in the Merchant Relays. Both teams had great showings finishing in the top five in both the boys and girls’ divisions.

In the boys’ division, Prescott won the meet with 156.5 points. Genoa Central was second with 142.5 points. Trinity Christian was third with 77 points and Foreman was fourth with 70 points. Fouke was fifth with 56 points.

In the running events, Kyren Batey won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.06.

Zack Carver was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.97.

Kavant Singleton was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.14.

The Gators’ 4×100-meter relay team of Robbie Smith, Zack Carver, CJ Green and Batey won with a time of 45.53.

Foreman’s 4×400-meter relay team of CJ Green, Kavant Singleton, Zack Carver and Brandon Thomas was fourth with a time of 4:02.75.

In the field events, Singleton was fifth in the high jump with a height on 5-feet, 6-inches.

Batey was third in the long jump with a distance on 20-feet, 1-inch. CJ Green was seventh with a leap of 19-feet, 4-inches.

Logan Lindsey won the discus with a heave of 121-feet, 11-inches.

Jeremy Jones was second in the shot with a toss of 39-feet. Lindsey was fifth with a distance of 38-feet, 8-inches.

In the girls’ division, Genoa Central won the meet with 153.5 points. Gurdon was second with 94 points. Foreman was third with 84.5 points. Prescott and Bearden rounded out the top five with 71 and 58 points respectively.

In the running events, Grace Gwin was fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.58. Princess Davis was eighth with a time of 30.33.

Kenzie Cowan was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.72.

Davis was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.45. Savannah Lovewell was eighth with a time of 19.87.

Lovewell was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.79. Davis was third with a time of 55.10.

The Lady Gators’ 4×100-meter relay team of Lovewell, Cowan, Gwin and Kadi Downs finished second with a time of 53.22.

Foreman’s 4×400-meter relay team of Lovewell, Gwin, Downs and Cowan was third with a time of 4:49.01.

The Lady Gators’ 4×800-meter relay team of Alyssa Jones, Leigha Bearden, Katelyn Roden and Derricka Tallant was sixth with a time of 13:33.45.

In the field events, Downs won the long jump with a distance of 15-feet, 8-inches. Cowan was fifth with a distance of 15-feet.

Downs won the triple jump with a distance of 35-feet, 1-inch. Cowan was second with a distance of 33-feet, 10-inches.

Sadie Staggs was fifth in the discus with a distance of 77-feet, 2-inches. Alyssa Jones was eighth with a distance of 66-feet, 1-inch.

Panther Relays

While Foreman was torching the track at Prescott, the Ashdown Panthers and Pantherettes were taking care of business at the Panther Relays in Magnolia.

In the boys’ division, Magnolia won the meet with 92.9 points. Arkansas High was second with 89 points. Haynesville, La., was third with 69.5 points. Little Rock Parkview was fourth with 56 points and Pine Bluff was fifth with 54 points. Ashdown was seventh with 40.2 ponts.

In the running events, Ladarius Bishop was fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.06. He was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.80.

Caleb Murray was fifth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:38.49.

Alex Warren was eighth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:51.86.

Tre Green was seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.72.

Ashdown’s 4×100-meter relay team of Green, Bishop, Anthony Nelson and Patrick Christopher was fifth with a time of 44.07.

The Panthers’ 4×400-meter relay team of Elijah Thomas, Anthony Hopkins, Kavarciay Rhone and Green was fourth with a time of 3:46.26.

In the field events, Ty Baggett was third in the pole vault with a height of 10-feet, 6-inches.

Chris French was third in the shot with a distance of the 49-feet, 0.5-inches.

In the girls’ division, Arkansas High won the meet with 101.5 points. Magnolia was second with 81.5 points. Camden Fairview was third with 69.5 points. Ashdown was fourth with 61.5 points and Little Rock Parkview was fifth with 59.5 points.

In the running events, Brooklynn Smith was seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.13.

Carsen Jones was seventh in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 7:10.37.

Lainee Young was second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 14:25.49.

Aleya Hill was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.02.

The Pantherettes’ 4×100-meter relay team of Vonjoy Thomas, Cheyenne Hobson, Ebony Hawkins and Jukarra Greenlee was sixth with a time of 53.25.

Ashdown’s 4×400-meter relay team of Smith, Davina Gaines, Kylie Cross and Vonee Thomas was sixth with a time of 4:53.32.

The Pantherettes’ 4×800-meter relay team of Young, Gaines, Jade Kendrick and Aliana Lewis was fifth with a time of 12:15.90.

In the field events, Greenlee was second in the high jump with a height of 4-feet, 10-inches. Jasmyn Smith was eighth with a height of 4-feet, 6-inches.

Paige Smith won the pole vault with a height of 7-feet. Chloe Anderson was third with a height of 7-feet.

Blaire Gentry was seventh in the discus with a distance of 87-feet, 11-inches.

Porsha Randle was fourth in the shot with a distance of 32-feet, 10-inches. Cross was sixth with a distance of 31-feet, 6-inches.
