7AAAA District Track Meet

The Ashdown Panthers and Pantherettes traveled to Little Rock on Tuesday, April 24, to compete in the 7AAAA District Track Meet at Joe T. Robinson High School. Both teams had great performances with both finishing as district runners-up.

In the girls’ division, Joe T. Robinson won the meet with 206.5 points. Ashdown was second with 198.5 points. Arkadelphia was third with 96 points. Bauxite (45) and Mena (43) rounded out the top five. Nashville (37) was sixth, Fountain Lake (22) was seventh and Malvern (21) was eighth.

In the running events, Jukarra Greenlee was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.62. Cheyenne Hobson was fifth with a time of 13.67. Vonjoy Thomas was seventh with a time of 13.90.

Brooklyn Smith was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.94. Taneka Hamilton was fifth with a time of 1:07.35.

Lainee Young was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:43.66. Jade Kendrick was eighth with a time of 3:02.24.

Young was fifth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:35.73. Carsen Jones was eighth with a time of 7:08.55.

Jones was seventh in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 17:18.55. Jayda Bryan was eighth with a time of 17:20.39.

Aleya Hill was second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.87. Jasmyn Smith was fifth with a time of 18.81.

Hill won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.15. Jasmyn Smith was third with a time of 54.28. Colyn Grimes was seventh with a time of 56.99 and Ta’Janae Green was eighth with a time of 57.42.

Ashdown’s 4×200-meter relay team of Vonjoy Thomas, Hobson, Kylie Cross and Porsha Randle won with a time of 1:56.26.

The Pantherettes’ 4×400-meter relay team of Brooklyn Smith, Hamilton, Davina Gaines and Cross won with a time of 4:36.50.

Ashdown’s 4×800-meter relay team of Young, Hamilton, Gaines and Kendrick was second with a time of 11:42.

In the field events, Jasmyn Smith won the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 1-inch. Greenlee was third with a height of 4-feet, 8-inches. Kendrick was seventh with a height of 4-feet, 4-inches.

Chloe Anderson won the pole vault with a height of 8-feet, 8-inches. Young was fourth with a height of 7-feet, 6-inches. Paige Smith was fifth with a height of 7-feet, 6-inches also. Hobson was sixth with a height of 7-feet, 6-inches as well.

Greenlee was second in the triple jump with a distance of 34-feet, 3-inches. Makhia Cook was fifth with a distance of 31-feet, 7-inches. Cambre McCullough was eighth with a distance of 30-feet, 9-inches.

McCullough was fourth in the long jump with a distance of 15-feet, 6.5-inches. Randle was seventh with a distance of 15-feet, 3.75-inches. Hill was eighth with a distance of 15-feet, 0.25-inches.

Cross was third in the discus with a distance of 86-feet. Blaire Gentry was fourth with a distance of 85-feet, 10-inches. Ashlyn Harger was fifth with a distance of 85-feet. Randle was sixth with a distance of 84-feet, 8-inches.

Randle won the shot with a distance of 33-feet, 3-inches. Cross was second with a distance of 32-feet, 5.5-inches. Gentry was fourth with a distance of 30-feet, 6-inches.

In the boys’ division, Nashville won the meet with 199 points. Ashdown was second with 147 points. Mena was third with 75.5 points. Arkadelphia (72.5) and Joe T. Robinson (70) rounded out the top five. Fountain Lake (67) was sixth, Bauxite (57) was seventh and Malvern (3) was eighth.

In the running events, Shuntori Montue was seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72. He was also seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.70.

Elijah Thomas was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:10.20. Brayden Gibson was fourth with a time of 2:12.99.

Tre Green won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.66. Kaiden Hunter was fifth with a time of 17.20. Jacolby Williams was sixth with a time of 17.22.

Green was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.40. Hunter was fourth with a time of 43.77.

Ashdown’s 4×100-meter relay team of Green, Montue, Anthony Nelson and Patrick Christopher won with a time of 44.34.

The Panthers’ 4×200-meter relay team of Delrae Smith, Lamar Wilkerson, Mark Covington and Christopher was fourth with a time of 1:37.07.

Ashdown’s 4×400-meter relay team of Thomas, Anthony Hopkins, Nelson and Green won with a time of 3:41.22.

The Panthers’ 4×800-meter relay team of Thomas, Gibson, Caleb Murray and Kendall Branch was second with a time of 8:49.32.

In the field events, Wilkerson was second in the high jump with a height of 6-feet, 1-inch. Nelson was sixth with a height of 6-feet. Delrae Smith was seventh with a height of 6-feet. Kameron Benton was eighth with a height of 5-feet, 6-inches.

Green won the triple jump with a distance of 45-feet, 2-inches. Nelson was third with a distance of 42-feet, 9-inches. Braylon Bishop was sixth with a distance of 40-feet.

Nelson was fourth in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet, 9.5-inches.

Chris French was third in the discus with a distance of 111-feet, 10-inches. Cullen Young was fifth with a distance of 110-feet, 4-inches.

French won the shot with a distance of 50-feet, 5-inches. Vincent Jones was third with a distance of 45-feet, 1.5-inches. Green was sixth with a distance of 42-feet, 4-inches. Young was seventh with a distance of 41-feet, 7-inches.

Earlier this week, the Panthers and Pantherettes traveled to Pocahontas for the Class AAAA State Track Meet. No results were available at press time. See next week’s issue for complete results.

 

7AA West District Track Meet

Foreman’s Kyren Batey and Kenzie Cowan were both high point in Saturday’s 7AA West District Track Meet at Magnet Cove. Batey had 48 points and Cowan had 41 points.

The Foreman Gators and Lady Gators traveled to Magnet Cove on Saturday, April 28, to compete in the 7AA West District Track Meet. Both teams had great performances with the girls winning the district championship and the boys finishing as district runners-up.

In the girls’ division, Foreman won the meet with 195 points. Murfreesboro was second with 136 points. Magnet Cover was third with 117 points. Cutter Morning Star (92) and Poyen (36) rounded out the top five. Blevins (34) was sixth and Caddo Hills (8) was seventh. Lady Gator Kenzie Cowan was high point with 41 points.

In the running events, Grace Gwin won the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.48. Makiya Walker was third with a time of 13.99. Princess Davis was fourth with a time of 14.12.

Gwin also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.46. Cowan was second with a time of 28.68. Walker was fifth with a time of 30.26.

Cowan won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.64.

Katelyn Roden was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:01.83.

Samantha Douglas was fifth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 7:21.30.

Sadie Staggs was fourth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 18:23.55. Douglas was fifth with a time of 18.27.85. Lashonti Bromsey was sixth with a time of 18:45.10.

Savannah Lovewell was second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.94. Davis was fifth with a time of 19.79.

Lovewell won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.77. Davis was third with a time of 57.65.

Foreman’s 4×100-meter relay team of Lovewell, Cowan, Gwin and Kadi Downs won with a time of 53.40.

The Foreman Lady Gators won the 7AA West District Track Meet on Saturday, April 28, at Magnet Cove High School. The Lady Gators’ 4×400-meter relay team of Lovewell, Gwin, Downs and Cowan won with a time of 4:46.79.

Foreman’s 4×800-meter relay team of Douglas, Alyssa Jones, Leigha Bearden and Roden was third with a time of 12:55.78.

In the field events, Downs was second in the high jump with a height of 4-feet, 8-inches. Davis was eighth with a height of 4-feet, 2-inches.

Cowan was second in the long jump with a distance of 14-feet, 11-inches. Lovewell was fourth with a distance of 14-feet, 0.5-inches.

Cowan won the triple jump with a distance of 32-feet, 10-inches. Downs was second with a distance of 32-feet. Gwin was fourth with a distance of 29-feet, 1-inch. Walker was eighth with a distance of 28-feet, 3-inches.

Camille Richards was fourth in the shot put with a distance of 26-feet, 3.5-inches.

Staggs was second in the discus with a distance of 77-feet, 9-inches. Jones was fifth with a distance of 74-feet, 8-inches. Davis was sixth with a distance of 73-feet, 1-inch.

In the boys’ division, Magnet Cove won the meet with 208.5 points. Foreman was second with 180.5 points. Caddo Hills was third with 102 points. Poyen (76) and Cutter Morning Star (21) rounded out the top five. Blevins (20) was sixth and Murfreesboro (15) was seventh. Gator Kyren Batey was high point with 48 points.

In the running events, Batey won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.12. Robbie Smith was fifth with a time of 11.90.

Batey also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.49. Smith was third with a time of 25.41. CJ Green was fourth with a time of 25.49. Isaac Carver was sixth with a time of 26.73.

Zack Carver won the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.22. Alex Carver was second with a time of 55.94.

Tyler Baker was eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:10.26.

The Foreman Gator track team finished as runners-up in the 7AA West District Track Meet on Satruday, April 28, at Magnet Cove High School. Baker was sixth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:43.35. He was also sixth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 15:34.36.

Kavant Singleton won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.25. Donovin Willis was third with a time of 20.14.

Foreman’s 4×100-meter relay team of Smith, Isaac Carver, CJ Green and Batey won with a time of 45.68.

The Gators’ 4×400-meter relay team of CJ Green, Zack Carver, Alex Carver and Chris Haywood was third with a time of 3:57.17.

Foreman’s 4×800-meter relay team of Chandler Green, Baker, Alex Carver and Isaac Carver was fourth with a time of 12:16.94.

In the field events, Singleton tied for first in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 6-inches. Batey tied for third with a height of 5-feet, 4-inches. Brandon Thomas was sixth with a height of 5-feet.

Batey won the long jump with a distance of 20-feet, 7-inches. CJ Green was sixth with a distance of 18-feet, 2-inches. Isaac Carver was seventh with a distance of 17-feet, 9-inches. Willis was eighth with a distance of 17-feet, 4-inches.

Batey won the triple jump with a distance of 39-feet, 5-inches. CJ Green was third with a distance of 35-feet, 9-inches. Isaac Carver was fifth with a distance of 34-feet, 4.5-inches. Willis was sixth with a distance of 33-feet, 9-inches.

Jeremy Jones was second in the shot put with a distance of 40-feet, 1-inch. Logan Lindsey was third with a distance of 38-feet, 6-inches. Davin Cross was eighth with a distance of 30-feet, 9-inches.

Lindsey was fourth in the discus with a distance of 109-feet, 10-inches. Jones was fifth with a distance of 103-feet.
